In Gear A - Photomontage

David at work
David Saunders
I was inspired by the artist David Hockney
I chose the fire extinguishers because of their bright color and interesting shapes.
I am kind of happy with my work but think it would be better if I took clearer photographs of just one extinguisher.

What inspired me was David Hockney. I chose to do a car because it had lots of interesting features. I am happy with my work because the photos all fitted together well. I would be even better if I had added more photos.

Courtney Holmes
I was inspired by David Hockney's photomontage work.
I chose the subject because of the shapes on the stereo.
I’m happy with my work because I like the random affect that I created with the shapes.
It would be better if I took more time to lay it out.

Tom Green
I was inspired by David Hockney's photomontage of a chair.
I chose the subject because I liked the shape and colour of the chair.
I am pleased with it because it came out different to how I expected it to look when it was finished.
If I did this again I would change the angles around when I took the photos.

In Gear B - Photo-Montages in progress

Photo-montage - In Gear B

Photo-montage images made by In Gear group B inspired by artist David Hockney.

Zoe Bendall

The subject of my work is a person, Matt a helper for the teacher. The reason I picked Matt is because doing a person is fun, interesting and it was a challenge to do an image of a person. I am very pleased with my work because it look mysterious and weird!
The way how I could improve my work is if I took more photos for the image and mixed them with the photo montage.

Kenny Hartrey

The subject of my work was a GT mountain bike.
I chose it because I have an interest in mountain bikes.
I’m very pleased with my work because it is very simple but at the same time it’s very psychedelic.
To do better I could of using a photo montage of lots of different bikes instead of one.

Michael Holloway
What is the subject?
Car Mini Cooper

Why did you chose it?
I wanted to make an image of a small car

Are you pleased with your work?
Yes because it is a car made up out of lots of different pieces

What could you have done to improve it?
I could choose a larger car and take images from different angles

Nathan Moore

The subject of my photomontage a ford focus.
I wanted to do a car because I thought it could be arranged into new shapes.

What I could have done to improve it could increases the range of cars and colors to increase the variety of pictures in the montage
I am pleased with my work because it includes a lot of areas on a car
